ABOUT THE BAKER

What began as a hobby to pass the time during college courses quickly turned into a passion for pastry. Located in a kitchen in the First Presbyterian Church of Liberty, Kiran spends her mornings baking and experimenting with new flavors and techniques. As of Spring 2023, Kiran has completed the Baking and Pastry Program at Johnson County Community College and continues to look for new opportunities to grow her baking skills.  Some of her favorite flavor combinations are blackberry + sage, lemon + basil, and of course, classic dark chocolate + sea salt. 

 

Why Rai's Bake Shoppe? Kiran's middle name is Rai, and alongside her first name, which means "Ray of Light," Rai's Bake Shoppe desires to bring light to others through pastries and baked goods.
