ABOUT THE BAKERS
Kiran ~ Owner / Head Baker
Rai's Bake Shoppe was founded in 2021 by Kiran Ledford and is located in Liberty, MO.
What began as a hobby to pass the time during college courses quickly turned into a passion for pastry for Kiran. Located in a kitchen in the First Presbyterian Church of Liberty, Kiran spends her mornings baking and experimenting with new flavors and techniques. As of Spring 2023, Kiran has completed the Baking and Pastry Program at Johnson County Community College and continues to look for new opportunities to grow her baking skills. Some of her favorite flavor combinations are blackberry + sage, lemon + basil, and of course, classic dark chocolate + sea salt.
Why Rai's Bake Shoppe? Kiran's middle name is Rai, and alongside her first name, which means "Ray of Light," Rai's Bake Shoppe desires to bring light to others through pastries and baked goods.
Becka ~ Assistant Baker
Becka joined the Rai's Bake Shoppe team in the Fall of 2024. Before baking, she was an elementary school and preschool teacher in the Northland area. Becka began her baking career by making cupcakes for friends and family. Now that she is furthering a career in pastry, she loves learning about all the new techniques used to make different items.

​Like many people, Becka has a gluten intolerance and must eat gluten free. Although this is often quite the learning curve, Becka is working to grow and develop more gluten friendly recipes for everyone to enjoy. Since her start in 2024, Becka has loved being a part of the farmers markets and getting to know the community. If you are looking for something to try, Becka recommends the strawberry pop tart, classic pastry or gluten free - they are both delicious.
